Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Better Web International Limited ("we") and cover the Transform Bible app and this website. They are short because the app is simple: it helps you read and memorise Scripture, and it keeps what you add to it private to you.
1. Using the app
Transform Bible is free to use. You need an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. You can use the app without an account; an account (Apple, Google or email) keeps your shelf and progress in step across devices. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe.
We may add optional extras in future. Reading, reciting and your collection will stay free.
2. The Scripture text
The app includes the Berean Standard Bible, complete, under a Creative Commons Attribution licence: Berean Standard Bible, © Berean Bible, used under CC BY. That is the only translation the app provides.
You can add your own copy of any passage from a Bible you own, by copying and pasting it or scanning the page with your camera. The app stores it as your personal copy, private to your account, and never publishes, shares, pools or redistributes it. You are responsible for making sure your own use of that text is permitted by its publisher; the app makes no claim to offer or license any translation other than the BSB. A version label you choose (for example "NIV" or "ESV") is your own description of your text, not a statement by us.
3. Your content
Anything you add to the app, including your own copies of Scripture and your saved references, stays yours. We store it only to show it back to you and to track your progress. You can export it at any time from Settings and delete it, along with your account, from the same place.
4. Speech and camera
Speech recognition and page scanning run on your phone. The app does not record, store or upload audio or images. Recognition accuracy depends on your device, your surroundings and the version of iOS; the app scores what it recognises, and we cannot guarantee it hears every word.
5. What you agree not to do
- Reverse engineer, copy or resell the app or its scripture data.
- Use the app to store or distribute content you do not have the right to use.
- Interfere with the service or other users' accounts.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app and its sync service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give notice in the app so you can export your passages first.
7. No warranty and limits on liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
9. Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of New Zealand.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to [email protected].
